Functions of the Ministry of Language, Culture and Heritage

The activities of the Divine Language Academy
The following is the The Academy has the responsibilities assigned to it.
- To work for the protection and development of the Dhvehi language
- To ensure that the language is used in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Dhvehi language and to take action against those who do not. To take necessary measures to maintain the accuracy of information on culture and heritage.
- To celebrate the national days of Dhvehi language, literature, culture and heritage in Sri Lanka.
- Compile and publish Dhvehi dictionaries
- Planning, designing and implementing projects and programs on Dhvehi language and history.
- Conducting scientific research and scientific activities on Dhvehi language and history in collaboration with parties in Sri Lanka and abroad Publishing all materials and acting as a center for classifying, organizing and disseminating information on the language and history
- To receive various grants from the State and other bodies and to use the funds to achieve the objectives of the Institute.

Functions of the National Center for the Protection of Cultural Heritage
The following are the responsibilities and responsibilities of the National Center for the Protection of Cultural Heritage powers.

National Museum Duties
